Brief Answer:
Looks like ocular allergy - suggested remedies

Detailed Answer:
Hi.... by what you quote I feel that your child might be having eye allergy or ocular allergy. This can result due to various reasons like excess exposure to dust and other allergens like smoke or Pollen.

Rarely excess TV viewing or LCD or cell phone during or usage of tablet also can sometimes cause this.

My suggestions -

1. Curtail the use of access viewing of the above mentioned devices.

2. Start frequent cleaning of his eyes with clean cold water as frequently as possible.

3. while venturing out I suggest you put on Goggles for him....all the more importantly if it is a two wheeler.

4. Sometimes associated nasal allergy also can result in redness of eyes and watering.

5. If this problem has been persistent from birth then blocked nasolacrimal duct can be the inciting cause. You will need ophthalmology consult for this.

If none of the above suggestions are working out... I suggest you consult a paediatric ophthalmologist regarding this.
