My 4 years doughter suffering with eye alergy since last night. We have seen she was playing in sand yesterday and it looks like something impacted. No pain but slightly redish. Can you please suggest medicine.
You may use decongestant after consulting an ophthalmologist
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for asking on this platform
In view of clear history of playing in sand before the onset of symptoms it is assumed that the redness can be due to accidental introduction of sand particle in eyes.
Absence of foreign body sensation indicates that currently there is no particle in eyes. The redness may be due to irritation/inflammation and can be controlled with application of decongestant eye drops (eye drop containing phenylephrine).
I wont get overly worried as instillation of eye drop three to four times a day after proper irrigation with fresh water will help.
I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more query.
Regards
