Question : For 3 yrs now I have been begging doctors to figure out why I am bloating. Tonight is a bad episode with back pain accompanying it. I look 10 mos pregnant! I have a small frame and have never weighed over 130 lbs (5'4"). It is causing such depression that I just want to cry. All I've been told is fatty liver and menopause. I worry that it may be ovarian /cervical cancer or thyroid problems

                                    Brief Answer:
Where exactly is the pain?
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Thank you for posting your question on Health Care Magic.
Since you are confidentally telling about fatty liver I assume an ultrasound has been done and only positive finding is fatty liver.
Please describe the location and the duration of pain in detail so that I can help you better .
There are many reasons to get a bloated feeling and to look bloated.
As you rightly said thyroid problem has to be ruled out first .
I would recommend the following tests
thyroid profile, urea, creatinine and x ray of the chest pa view.
Please revert back with the report
Best wishes

The ultra sound was done 2 yrs ago. Location of pain varies: RUQ, LUQ, LLQ, RLQ, Pelvic area. Also to note, I have changed diet...no sugar, no bread. It's very depressing as I was never a big eater.
