Suggest Treatment For Severe Cold And Cough

Question: Hi,

My wife (Age : 27) is suffering from cold and cough during especially in Winter. She has this problem since her childhood and her mother also had the same problem.

So, what could be the root cause and how to reduce this problem ?

Hi Sir,
I have gone through your question and it suggests that most probably your wife is suffering from the seasonal rhinosinusitus.

I would like to inform that seasonal rhinosinusitis is the condition occurs in the specific season due to change in the weather.
I would like to suggest that better to go for the allergic test to rule out the allergy to specific substance.

In this condition I would like to prescribe tablet fexofenadine 120mg once in the night and steroid nasal spray fluticasone furoate once in the day for at least 10 days.

Please consult your ENT specialist for better diagnosis and for prescription.

Hi Doctor,

Thanks for your comments and Suggestion. I will make her to use the medicine you suggested. And, just want add more information, Even in other seasons also she gets the cough but not as much as in Winter. What could be the root cause & how to get rid of this completely in future ? Is the medicine suggested temporarily relief or permanent ?

I would like to suggest that better to go for the serological allergic test to rule out the allergy.

I would like to also inform that relief depend upon the severity of the disease.
