Question : I am an older woman and have never really had ear infections. My right ear is achy and swallowing is hard and painful. What could this be?
Brief Answer:
Probably an infection!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This is probably an infection. I will suggest that you get the ear examined with an otoscope to establish whether there is an infection that requires antibiotics or not. I will suggest that you stop excedrine and revert to tylenol ( 1000mg every 6-8/hours) only for pain control. Your primary care doctor is able to handle this satisfactorily.
I wish you well and awaits your updates.
