                                    Brief Answer:
Could be renal colik.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for posting to us.
Pain in lower abdomen, sudden in onset that radiates back could be a renal colik, means pain caused due to a possible stone in the kidney or ureters.
I would recommend you to take any pain medicine available like diclofenac or brufen for temporary relief. Take plenty of water and fruit juices (esp. citrus).
Once you are relieved, schedule an appointment with your doctor and ask for an ultrasound abdomen.
There are many other causes of pelvic pain but at the moment, they do not need to be thought of.
 Take care.

I am 3 months postpartum and during my pregnancy I had really bad acid reflux after birth I started getting upper back pains and some difficulty swallowing, they said it's gerd, I got blood work done everything came back normal just had a slight inflammation, just about 4 weeks ago I started to get pain in the upper middle abdomen and heart burn so I am on antacids now for 4 months, recently I just had blood work done and it came back again with slight inflammation and my amylase was slightly elevated then I started to get my lower pelvic/abdominal pain wich radiates to my back down my groin sometimes and my rectum, I also have a bit of discharge wich is slightly very faint yellow stringy bits, and also I had a papsmear wich came back with stage 2 abnormalities so I am scheduled for a colposcopy, I also have an ultrasound for gallstones and pelvic area,no I haven't, I am going to have an ultrasound for pelvic area and possible gallstones, why would you think my amylase is slightly high? what's the possibility there?

                                    Brief Answer:
pelvic pain.
Detailed Answer:
Ok,
Then it must be pelvic pain. have you ever been ordered CT or MRI abdomen?
amylase is elevated in more than 50 conditions.
From your history, my short listings about amylase include
1. Possible mild inflammation in pancreas which could have caused pain in your upper and mid back. ultrasound could easily miss mild pancreatic disease.
2. pelvic inflammatory disease can show elevated amylase ( I suspect this is a good possibility in you with present pelvic pain)
3. ovarian cysts can liberate amylase.
IN ANY CASE, I STRONGLY BELIEVE YOU REQUIRE A CT ABDOMEN.
hope this helped.
