Brief Answer:
not necessary at this stage

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Acute sore throat is most commonly due to infection either viral or bacterial.

Viral infection is more common than bacterial however.Bacterial infection would require antibiotics.

The absence of a fever makes viral infection more likely. This would be treated with oral pain killers and topical treatment.

Oral pain killers such as ibuprofen, cataflam or naproxen , which have an anti inflammatory effect can be used.
Topical treatments such as chloroseptic, diflam or covonia throat spray etc can be used as well.

With viral infections the pain should resolve in 3 to 4 days. If there is no improvement or the symptoms significantly worsen then bacterial infection would need to be considered.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
