Question: My daughter 8 yrs girl suffering from stomach ache fever and sudden shivering off and on from last two days, what is wrong with her? Please advise
it can be gastroenteritis or food poisoning with salmonella infection. can be treated with ciprofloxacin tablet. maintain hydration these symptoms are present in uti. urine should be tested with culture and sensitivity. drink more water can take alkasol syrup 3times daily.

Alkasol syrup ois not there any othr subsitute instead of that? And ciproflaxacin is how much mg? Can i give these for three days?

You can take alkacitron or simply alkali mixture. Ciprofloxacin is available in the dosage of 250mg. But your daughter is of eight years old. The dose should be adjusted taking body weight and age into consideration. I think one tablet twice daily will suffice. Confirm with your local doctor before starting it. You can give it for five days. Fever can be controlled by giving tab paracetamol. She should drink sufficient water. Urine test and test for culture and sensitivity will be helpful.
