Question : I am 72 and always have had a healthy heart. I am going through pain in the right side of my head from shingles and started Neurotin 2 days ago--300 milligrams at bedtime. I also have a herniated disk on the right side of my neck. Tonight I discovered that my neck was very obviously pulsating on the right side at the lower part of my neck. Should I go to the doctor tomorrow?

Pulsations on lower side of neck are carotid pulsations. They can be normal during increased heart rate periods. You can avoid going to doctor today, but if it occurs more frequently than please go to the doctor to see for any abnormality.
You can continue taking your regular medications.
