Suggest Treatment For Shrivelled Intestines And Pain During Defecation

Question: I had food poisoning that started my problems. Then stomach pains for 17 days, now its an occational ache a couple hours after i eat. It has been very hard to stay hydrated. My intestines seem to have shriveled. It is hard to defecate, not from constipation but because my intestines are shriveled. I leave fresh blood in the toilet because something is tearing. I have been to a clinic, but they did not give me anything, they just said eat bland foods and stay hydrated.

I think I would be able to help you.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible inflammatory bowel disease. In short IBD.
I usually suggest a colonoscopy to all my patients with a similar situation. I think I would suggest that you try to get a colonoscopy too. It will help confirm the diagnosis and also suggest the extent of the damage.
Steroids may be used for treatment and therefore, I suggest treatment only after the colonoscopy.
Meet a gastroenterologist for the same.
