Suggest Treatment For Slight Bruising On Foot After Injury

default
Posted on Thu, 13 Aug 2015
Question: I tripped/slammed my foot into a partially open door yesterday and im wondering if its worth a trip to the doctors. There is a slight bruise on the top if my foot, just below the 3 last toes. I thought it was just my toes that got injured, but this mornings bruise says that I was hurt further up the foot. If I dont move my foot there is no pain. Standing and walking are painful, but not enough for me to leave work. My foot also tingles for brief periods of time.

Brief Answer:
No need to visit doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
I don't think it is necessary to visit doctor. All he can do is to do xrays which is not required at this point since this is area of metatarsal bones where fractures rarely occurs and you don't have symptom of fracture.. Even if there is fracture, treatment of this injury is same: rest, ice, analgetics and leg elevation. I hope I helped,if you have any questions feel free to ask. Regards
Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
