Suggest Treatment For Small Blisters On The Penile Shaft

default
Posted on Tue, 21 Jul 2015
Question: Recently I've noticed two small blisters on the shaft of my penis beneath the foreskin, I have not been sexually active since January and did not use protection but didn't notice any symptoms in the following months. The blisters have white centres and are positioned like a snake bite. I would like to know if this is just something that will go away on its own or if I should be worried?

Brief Answer:
likely to be fungal balanitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

The redness and lesion are likely to be fungal balanitis that is infection of glans of penis.

I would suggest you the following

1. Hot Seitz bath : To a tub of lukewarm water add 2 spoon of antiseptic solution. Sit in it for 15 to 20 minutes each session twice a day. pull back the foreskin and clean the area

2. Apply combination of antifungal and steroid ointment twice a day for 2 weeks

If the lesion worsens or does not improve then do consult your primary care physician for detailed clinical examination

Do keep me updated about progress

Wishing you and your family a very happy and healthy life.

Take care
