Question : What would cause me to always have a chronic red throat and uvulitis? I have had it for years. It starts at the back of the soft palate and extends back as far as I can see. I have had strep tests, blood work, endoscope, and seen an ENT. I have a narrow opening in one of my nostrils and I do breath when exercising through my nose. Could this cause this or is there something being missed? I do not have any diseases I am aware of except a fatty liver.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Hi
Welcome to HealthcareMagic and thanks for putting up the query
You have repeated episodes of sore throat because of the deviated nasal septum. Due to deviation there is chronic post nasal discharge leading to hawking and frequent pharyngitis.
Please get a x-ray paranasal sinuses done and send me the picture so that I can suggest you better.
Use a nasal decongestant drops and oral decongestants tablets. Use hexidine gargles 2 to 3 times a day.
Take vitamin c once daily
These medicines I prescribed are available only on prescription.
Any further questions are always welcome
Take care
Thanks and regards

If there is uvular hanging there can be a polyp or mass in nose pushing it down. Get a CT paranasal sinuses done and send me the pictures so that I can suggest you better.
