Suggest Treatment For Soreness And Dryness On Lips

Question: Have long distance relationship. B/friend, 55 sent recent pic showing new haircut..I noticed that his lips appears either extremely sunburned or either drying sores on inner corners and along outer edges of lips resembling dehydration but extreme. Also noticed rash on face resembling something that appeared like measles..also on side of neck near very back of jaw bone going down neck there was peeling..as if like from a sunburn..but he is not XXXXXXX .Is this signs of syphilis?

I understand your concern and situation


There are various causes of lip sores like apthous ulcers which are non contagious or herpes simplex virus is a common cause of contagious, recurring lip sores. I would suggest that he probably won't have infection but deficiency of multivitamins. Ask him to take capsules B Complex regularly. Apply moisturizer on face. It is not syphilis definitely. If he has fever then ask him to get serological tests for measles and HSV if does not respond to treatment.
