Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Clavicle Area And Pain In Right Side Of Neck

Question: Several months ago, I picked my daughter up to place her on an examination table. I felt and heard my right shoulder crack and pop and was very painful for several days. The x-ray did not show anything broken. Since this incident there is still swelling in the clavicle area, it is not sore to touch but does have a dull like ache and sometimes runs up the right side of my neck. Again it is not painful but uncomfortable. I can move my arm in all directions but in certain positions it is painful. I am worried because of what I have read so far suggest cancer and it is scary since I am a smoker. Is this a system of lung cancer or any other cancer? Also, I have TMJ could this have something to do with the swelling?

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam ,
Thank you for posting your query on HCM.
Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that from the history it looks like a rotator cuff tear or supraspinatus tendinitis to me rather than some kind of tear . X ray wont show anything until and unless bone is involved.
I will advise you to get an MRI shoulder joint and A chest X ray done to look for any lung lesion so that the risk of cancer may be ruled out .
Till the you can take an antiinflammatory tablet like ibuprofen for pain relief and decreasing the inflammation in your shoulder .You can discuss this with your treating physician.
Take care.
