symptoms of runny nose, congestion, etc may be complicated with sinusitis. Sinusitis usually occurs 3-4 days after the initial symptoms. Serious sinusitis causes headache, worsened nose symptoms and when the infection is spreading in local tissues swelling around the eyes and pain around the sinuses.
Allergic reactions and other less common problems (like kidney problems) may be implicated as well.
