might be inflamation of sublingual salivary gland
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
Thanks for consulting Healthcaremagic.
This is Dr. Priyanka Tiwari answering your query.
Read your query swollen mass below tongue on floor of mouth with earache can be due to inflamation of sublingual salivary gland as sublingual gland is located at floor of mouth .
Salivary gland infection is somewhat common where the swelling can be due to bacterial infection , blockage of gland or due to habit induced (smoking) .
For swelling earache and bad breadth I will suggest you some easy selfcare remedies that you
can practice at home .
-Quit you habit of smoking and dont drink alcohol .
- Maintain good oral hygiene by brushing twice daily .
- use chlorhexidine mouthwash regularly .
- Do warm saline rinses 2 to 3 times a day .
- Drink lots of water in order to keep mouth moist .
- use sugar free lemon drops to increase the flow of saliva .
You can do selfcare remedies at home if you don't get relief then i will suggest you to consult oral surgeon for visual examination of swelling and investigation x ray to rule out the cause and for bad breath go for oral prophylaxis (scaling and root planning) .
Hope I have answered your query .
If you have further query I will be happy to help.
