Question: hello!
my 11 month old son has both of his eyeball corners with some redish blood vessels since saturday night but today is a little lighter than it was before. And he also doesn't seem to have any other symptons other than that. Can it be just a irritation or is something more?

Brief Answer:
May be a viral conjunctivitis - Please upload some images

Detailed Answer:
Hi...It may just be viral conjunctivitis. But as you say the symptoms are abating, I don't think you need to worry.

I suggest you upload the images of the eyes so that I will be in a better position to guide you further.

Eye conditions are best diagnosed only after seeing directly. I suggest you to upload photographs of the same on this website, so that I can guide you scientifically.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.

Brief Answer:
Viral conjunctivitis - just wash with fresh clean water

Detailed Answer:
Hi...thanks for uploading the photo. This looks like a simple viral conjunctivitis. Just wash with fresh clean water and it will get better by itself. No need to use antibiotic eye drops.

Right now a doctor consultation might not be required.

I will let you know when a doctor needs to be consulted -

1. If the baby develops increasing redness in the eyes.
2. If there is purulent or pus like eye discharge.
3. If there is swelling of eye lids and pain during eye all movement.
4. If there is high grade fever above 101 to 102F.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
