Suggest Treatment For Throat Flutters And Palpittaions

Question: hi. I get these things I can only describe as throat flutters in the base of my throat. they are so scary and annoying. not sure if these are palpitations. I had a ecg stress test and ultrasound of heart around 12 months ago. my doctor doesn't seem to be worried about my heart as all tests came back well. please help me
Brief Answer:
please see details.
Detailed Answer:
Dear sir
If cardiac ultrasound and stress tests were normal after onset of these symptoms, then anginal and structural heart diseases are ruled out. However a disorder of cardiac rhythm is still a possibility. If these symptoms occur daily, 24 or 48 hours bolter monitoring will help. This picks up ECG of whole duration. If they occur at least once in a week, extended external loop recorder will help. For less frequent episode implantable loop recorder will be required.
If you ever lost consciousness during such episodes, it is something which needs urgent cardiologist opinion .
Hope this helps. Feel free to discuss further.
Sincerely

I do have anxiety and panic attacks. not sure if this is the cause. I went to my doctor again and he told me its not from my heart
Brief Answer:
Please see details.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir
Opinion of real life doctor, who is examining you, always has great value. If he feels it is not from heart, it has some value. Still if there is a doubt we can always confirm or negate a heart rhythm disorder (causing palpitation) by proper monitoring as I detailed in first answer.
If it an anxiety attack only? can be best decided by you by analyzing your state of mind at that time. You may also consult a clinical psychologist.
However my preference would a detailed history and good clinical examination by an internist (physician or internal medicine specialist). You can take best guidance from him for your future evaluation.
