I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

Treatment of tremors in hands depends upon the cause.Common causes of Tremors in hands at your age can be-
1)Anxiety
2)Thyroid disorder
3)Essential tremor
4)Parkinson's disease
5)Alcohol or some medicines

So,it actually depends on which one of the above is the cause of tremors in your case.Treatment is according to indication-
1)Anxiety-Mental relaxation exercises/Yoga/Meditation.Antianxiety drugs like clonazepam(rivotril).
2)Thyroid disorder-Primary cause to be treated.
3)Essential tremor-Propranolol in dose ranging from 40 mg per day to 120 mg per day.Primidone can also help.
4)Parkinson's disease-Anti-parkinsonian drugs.
5)Alcohol withdrawl-chlordiazepoxide and lorazepam are the frontline drugs.

Meanwhile,please start doing mental relaxation exercises and revert back after getting Thyroid function tests done.

I am glad you appreciated the response.Your diet should be a balanced diet composed of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals and water in correct proportions. It must include green vegetables,fruits,milk and eggs. You can web search for healthy balanced diet and you'll see a lot of wonderful and easy to understand explanations.

On top of diet, it's always better to take supplement medicines containing essential minerals and vitamins, particularly with the increasing age.

PLEASE TAKE MEDICINES UNDER A PHYSICIAN'S GUIDANCE.
