Brief Answer:
Tooth paste cannot interact with meds; water aids with absorption of meds

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help.

1. When you brush your teeth using toothpaste, it is usually without swallowing. Once you are done brushing your teeth, you spit out the paste and then wash your mouth with water. Only after this a person usually swallows saliva from the mouth.

Even if they do swallow earlier than that, the toothpaste quantity is too little to cause any trouble to the stomach or even the medications you are on.

It is also scientifically proven that no toothpaste of any kind can cause any drug interactions with medications of any kind. So above all, it is important to know that the toothpaste, even if swallowed cannot cause any interactions at all, so you have nothing to worry at all sir.

2. Water cleanses the gastrointestinal tract, and even helps aid with absorption of the medications taken.

The stomach, when empty, especially from early in the morning, a lot of stomach acids accumulate in the stomach and this can at times reduce absorption of the medications. So the water taken with the tablet can help with better absorption of the medication, so you need not worry about this either sir.

I feel you are getting paranoid about the treatment, when there is really nothing to worry about as long asa you follow your doctors orders and do exactly what your doctor asks you too.

Toothpaste or the water with which you take your medications cannot cause any interactions or reduced effect of the medications you are taking sir, so you can rest assured and just have faith in the medications.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write to me, no matter how times you want, until you gain confidence and are satisfied, but honestly speaking, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the way you are doing things.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
We will find out in a few months time for sure

Detailed Answer:
Hi sir.

As long as you are taking the medications on time, and without missing a dose, we will find out in a few months by examining you elaborately, if the treatment has just begun, then there is no accurate way of finding out.

Be patient sir, and continue following the doctors instructions religiously.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Great improvement, I see a complete scope for recovery :)

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

Yes, there is a difference in the X-ray films, and this is a good sign which shows that you are responding well to the treatment, that is simply great.

The improvement simply means that the medications prescribed have been doing their job and that you also have been religiously taking your medication, and there have been no interactions with anything else that has reduced the effect of the medications you have been taking, so continue doing what you are doing and I am sure you should recover well enough.

I am sorry, you did not complete your sentence, please do let me know what you wish to know and I shall sure oblige.

Best wishes.

with respect to my latest x ray report is there any further chance of clear image for my chest ,as latest report tells it is normal but my doctor also said improvement but insisted further PA chest after three months, now I want to know based on the x ray report the shadows showing near the mid and lower zones will also disappear after another two months

Brief Answer:
They will certainly improve, but might take more than 2 months for that

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

Your chest X-ray is clear and is a good film. The reason why another chest X-ray is required after a certain duration of time is to ensure that the chest remains clear (and that there is no relapse), and also to make sure the medications are being taken regularly and are being effective.

Those shadows might lighten up a little and normalise, but 2 months time is too less for a complete improvement recovery and disappearance of those shadows. It might take some more time sir.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
The lung tissue heals slowly, give it a few months time to clear up

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

The lung tissue is quite different from other tissue in the body in a way that it takes much more time to heal than any other tissue would.

My grandmother contracted pneumonia during her pilgrimage, and it took her around 1 year for her chest X-ray to clear up completely. Of course, given her age it might have taken more time than it would in a younger individual, yet you should know that if you take an xray today, it would still not have cleared up a 100 %.

Be patient, as your recovery seems to be on the right path and all you need to do is to continue doing what you are doing now and in a few months time, I am sure your chest X-ray will be a 100 % clear.
