Question : sir my son age 1year 4 months is suffering from typhoid.Blood report shows
BLOOD WIDAL-'S' typhi 'H' :1:80 Dil. Positive.
its midnight here in XXXXXXX my son have fever and shivering some time he bits his teeth. i have given him crosin at present.pls guide me what else should i do dr?

Thanks for your query.

I would like to know what dose of crocin have you given ?
What is the weight of the baby ?

Ideal dose for a 1.4 year old baby is 15mg/kg per dose repeated every 6 hours once.

Also, do give him tepid sponging. Smear water or wipe his body with cloth dipped in cold water. It will reduce his body temperature and prevent shivering.
