Suggest Treatment For Water Blisters On The Leg

default
Posted on Thu, 27 Oct 2016
Question: I had a venus oblation on my right leg about a month ago. One vein in front and the other in back which hurt like hell when the back one was done. Ever since then I have been developing water blisters on that leg to the point where i have had to have my wife put lidocaine jelly on it to keep the pain at bay. The skin seems to be extremely dry. I have taken several pictures and it looks like hell besides hurting. Any suggestions as to why this is occurring or better yet how to get this to heal.

Brief Answer:
Looks to be allergic dermatitis akin to varicose ulcer

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, an elucidate history and clear pictures.
The pictures are suggestive of allergic dermatitis and has multiple features.
I would advise you the following:
Consult your Doctor, get a reference for Dermatologist.
The fluid from blisters be sent for tests of microscopy, herpes, culture and sensitivity and anything the your Dermatologist would suspect in addition.
In the meanwhile:
Color Doppler of the affected lower limb to see the present status of varicosity and any other findings.
HbA1c and blood sugar levels to see and have well controlled diabetes.
Elevation of the foot in laying down position, to keep above heart level whenever you are resting.
Add on multivitamins.
Once a proper diagnosis has been made, treatment would be specific and effective.

I hope this answer helps you to get an appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
