default
Posted on Tue, 7 Mar 2017
Question: Hi, I have been feeling very weak, tired, stuffy head, and dry cough. Went to the Dr. yesterday and it is not the flu or pneumonia. Could this just be a commen cold? If so how long can it last? I seem to be getting worse rather than better.
Thank You,

Brief Answer:
Common cold

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Your symptoms are suggestive of a common cold which is usually viral.

It lasts for around 1 week.

I would advice you to try home remedies by having a lots of fluids (soups, citrus juices). For dry cough try warm lemon water with honey for a week. Steam inhalation helps for stuffy head 2 to 3 times a day for 20 minutes.

If your symptoms persists or worsens it is best to meet your family doctor for a thorough examination.

I hope this answered your query.
