Suggest Treatment For Wheezing And Difficulty In Breathing While Having Lyme Disease

Question : I have been better than oft since the New Year of 2016. My history has been chronic fatigue, epstein-barr, fibro myalgia, anemia, severe fatigue, low potassium, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, asthma, chronic migraine, mild CTE and late stage Lyme disease for over thirty years. My symptoms are a fatigue that I can't get just can't get over, memory loss, losing my way around tasks that I used to find like second nature, confusion, severe and constant pain all over body, balance and vertigo problems, nausea and vomiting, lost 20 lbs. in 9 weeks, not hungry, Any task I perform is like climbing the highest mountain. I have neuropathy and gait abnormalities, black out when driving (I do not drive anymore). A week and a half ago, I had my blood sent to Igenex Labs in CA for a full Lyme panel and a co-infection panel. About one week ago I woke up wheezing heavily in my chest, worse than ever mid to upper back pain, coughing up hard pieces of green and blood. Since it was the beginning of a 3 day holiday weekend and I couldn't bear the thought of sitting in the emergency room, I took Suprax 400 Mg. It did help the large chunks of what I was coughing up - color became yellow, however the wheeze had gotten worse. I feel more pain every day and don't know if I should see a doctor (who doesn't know much about Lyme), go to the emergency room (where they also don't know much about Lyme or wait until my labs come back (about 3-4 weeks from now). Do you think this could be pneumonia? Should I just make an appointment with my primary care md? She knows more than most health care providers since her mother has late stage lyme. I need advice asap. Please help me because I don't know what to do.

I have reviewed your information fully and clearly understand you are dealing with so much at this point in time. It is important that you see a doctor to manage your pains clear and diagnose what the possible cause of the wheezing and difficulties breathing is. Even if you were to be confirmed with Lyme’s disease, these symptoms the cough an yellow sputum accompanied with wheezing rather points to a possible lung infection such as pneumonia and not Lyme. So , while you wait for the lyme specifics to be made available, I strongly suggest that you seek care for this ill health that really seems unrelated to it. Also, getting appropriate pain medication would help. I recommend your regular primary doctor because she knows your history best and would be able to provide the best required care at this time than someone who would simply start to discover who you are and your past medical history which is of course of great importance in taking good care of you at this time.
