Hi Doctor, my friend had unprotected sex last Saturday 2 am... which is 60 hours back. She did not take any contraceptive pill. Her last mensus was on 29th Nov and her cycle is for 30 to 35 days. Please suggest if any contraception can be done now

This single tablet is to be taken within72 hours of unprotected intercourse.
It is 85-95% effective in preventing the pregnancy if taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.

If there is a risk of HIV. and hepatitis B, then the tests for it should be done after6 weeks.
If other symptoms like abnormal vaginal discharge, rashes or lesions develop in genital area, chances of herpes, pelvic inflammatory disease are there.
So,she should get it tested if the symptoms appear.
There is no need to go for any test straight away.
