Brief Answer:
Iron deficiency anemia.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Jyothi BL and I will be answering your query.

Based on your query and report, my opinion is as follows:

1. You are having microcytic hypochromic anemia. RDW or red cell distribution width increase indicates variation in cell size and shape. Both together is usually due to iron deficiency.

2. If necessary, iron studies can be done for confirmation.

3. You will require to take iron supplements to improve iron levels. As the hemoglobin levels are still normal, it is possibly early stages. Do take iron supplements and also increased iron in diet through iron fortified foods.

4. After 15 days if necessary, reticulocyte count test will demonstrate increase in number. Re-evaluation after 6 weeks, will show improve in MCV and reducing RDW

5. Not to worry about leukocyte count, it is mildly increased and near normal range. The differential white cell count percentage are within normal limits.

Hope it helps.
