Question: Hello,
I usually dream alot and get strange dreams.
And it is not like that I get dreams of what I think or anything related.
Sometimes, I dream of a plane crash, sometimes death of my closed ones, sometimes accident, and sometimes I have dreamt of Storm and some running race.
Please guide through it as it leaves me thoughtful and stressed.

Brief Answer:
psychodynamic evaluation is needed through past history

Detailed Answer:
Hello xxxxxxxxxxx,

Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern.

Until and unless dreams affect sleep or daily routine life, they do not need intervention. Almost every person gets dream in sleep, some of them can remember and most of them cannot depending on the stage of sleep dream comes.

You have different dreams but theme of all of them related to some kind of panic/anxiety situation. This may have two implications:

First possibility is they are just dreams and they nothing to do with your life.

Second possibility is some relation with some kind of incident happened to you in past. Many persons during childhood suffer from some kind of traumatic event but these events cannot come out consciously when person try to remember. While brain can recollect these type of events in different form though subconscious mind. This is purely related to subconscious psychodynamic of the person. Meaning of these dreams to your life can be found out after detail history and evaluation by a psychiatrist or psychologist who has such skills of psychodyanmic evaluation. This may need few sessions with you as well as if needed with your family members (specifically with parents to know your childhood history).

At present please note that theses dreams do not predict any future event and do not actively think about them. To remain stress free follow healthy lifestyle. This includes regular daily exercise (walking or running), hygienic food habits (no junk food, no fatty food, preferably only home-made food with law salt and fat with more fruits and vegetables) and timely scheduled sleep. Yoga- meditation can also help.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
