Question: MY WIFE TOOK 4 TABLETS OF ALPRAZOLAM TABLETS .25MG SLEEPING PILLS SOME 9 HOURS BACK DUE TO SOME TENSION.SHE IS FEELINH HEADACHES AND SOME PAIN IN STOMOACH,CANT SIT PROPERLY AND SLEEPING.SHE HAS TAKEN HER NIGHT MEAL AND HAS BEEN TO TOILET 2 TIMES,DRUNK 2 GLASSES OF WATER.WHAT TO DO TO RELEIVE HER FROM SLEEPING PILLS SIDE EFFECTS.MY EMAIL ID IS YYYY@YYYY is 33 years old and has a past record of depression

One may be given a dose from 1 up to a total of 10 milligrams, according to ones needs. Somnolence, confusion, impaired coordination and diminished reflexes are the side effects of overdose.

I advice you to visit the local doctor, even though it does not appear to be serious and she should be fine in a day but checking the vitals are better. Monitoring of respiration, pulse rate and BP should be done. For the amount of drug she has consumed anti dote is not required, she should be fine but care should be taken that she should not repeat the incidence. As you have mentioned about the depression, it will be better if someone stays with her.
