Used Electric Razor On Public Area. Noticed Bumps Like Herpes. What To Do?

default
Posted on Thu, 25 Jul 2013
Question: I just uploaded three photos. The last time I had sex was roughly 30-35 days ago. I had protected sex, but unprotected oral sex. I also used an electric razor last night to my public area. I don't know if this is razor burn/ ingrown hair, or herpes. I tried to pop it, but it will not pop. I am afraid it is herpes. It is only one bump and looks kind of like a pimple.

Hi

Do not worry.

It is not herpes.

It is folliculitis.

It is bacterial infection caused by staphylococci.

It not serious condition.

It is not due to sex.

It may be due to mild trauma.

Take antibiotics orally for two weeks.

Take anti inflammatory drug.

Apply antibiotic cream like mupirocine.

Wash the area with antiseptic like savlon liquid.

Take Sitz bath in dettol water.

Have healthy food and proper sleep.

Avoid stress, anxiety and worries.

I hope you will be alright within few days.
