I have taken this used-syringe uncle clinic 2 days back. But after refilling 3-4 times ink into syringe and refilling it to cartridge. At last when I was packing cleaning needle I have stuck on my finger.

Q. Needle stick Injury after two after it was used can cause HIV or anything else?
Q. I have refilled 2-3 times syringe with Ink. So blood get diluted with Ink cause anything?
Q. I was only small injury on finger at last.
Q. I am more concern about HIV b'cause every in society thing negative about this. Beside this Incident I am still virgin and I am not taking any type of Drugs.
Q. So how deep Injury is required for HIV to transfer and It can be only happen with fresh blood?

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my answers below.

Q 1. Needle stick Injury after two after it was used can cause HIV or anything else?

Needle stick injury after two years following its use will never cause HIV. It can get rusted and cause tetanus.

Q 2. I have refilled 2-3 times syringe with Ink. So blood get diluted with Ink cause anything?

There is only dried ink in the syringe and the amount of ink mixing with the blood is too less to cause any problems due to ink.

Q 3. I was only small injury on finger at last.

Even if small injury also then you must take tetanus toxoid injection.

Q 4. I am more concern about HIV b'cause every in society thing negative about this. Beside this Incident I am still virgin and I am not taking any type of Drugs.

Please do not worry about HIV. Two years is a long time and HIV virus will get destroyed in few hours.

Q 5. So how deep Injury is required for HIV to transfer and It can be only happen with fresh blood?

Any deep injury with a freshly contaminated needle causing bleeding can cause HIV virus transfer. The transmission rate varies with viral load of patient having HIV in blood.

As you are about to get married there is no need to worry. However if you are having anxiety then you can get tested for HIV and Hepatitis B and C at least 6 months after needle injury for peace of mind.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.

Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

Please find my answers below.

Q 1. One thing I am sure that was old syringe? I many hour hour HIV is non-infectious in needle if some stuck in finger?

If it was old syringe used two months back even then the risk of HIV is almoxt zero.

Q 2. Other thing that is sure is I have filled it 2-3 times Ink before It have stuck me.So, diluted with ink virse are still infectious?

There will not be any living virus when filling ink so this point does not hold good.

Q 3. What is practical Window Period for Healthy person who is not taking any types of Medicine. Sir tell according to ur Experience that u have seen.

In my experience the window for seroconversion is less than 3 months and for this reason it is said to do test at 3 months and again repeat at 6 months.

Hope your query is answered.
