unlikely by hand job
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
Hand job can transmit herpes infection if there are active lesions in the area of contact. If there are no active lesions in the area the chances are unlikely. If you have not got any lesions so far then you are unlikely to have herpes.
HPV can be transmitted by touch or skin to skin contact if HPV virus present.
It is not clear about the current status of you and your wife regarding these infections.
You can get investigated for herpes and HPV if in doubt
Hand job chances of transmission is very rare.
You can get back for any clarification .

Hello Doctor, thanks for the response. I've been married since 4 years. So far I and my wife have not seen anything unusual. I have read that the ifection may stay asymptomatic for years. Shall I have my wife undergo PAP Smear test? Is it required to get tested for this every year?

can undergo pap test .
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.
If there are no symptoms then you need not worry at all.
Pap smear can be done as a regular screening procedure now. Then after 3 years hope she is around 30 years.
You can allay fears about STDs due to those incidents .
You can get back for any clarification else close the discussion and rate.
Thank you
