Question : My husband has what we assume is a tuck or chigger bite from about 5 days ago. It has increased to 8 inches in diameter and is turning purple. It is warm to the touch. He has not had aches or joint pain. Should we ask for a Lyme test and antibiotics?

Your husband has developed cellulitis around the site of the bite. It is better to take antibiotics. It would also be good to do tests for Lyme disease and other tick borne diseases.
