                                            Question : History:
Recently we had a laparoscopy for hydrosalpinx and our Dr removed right side of the fallopian tube and the left side of the tube is normal.
Questions
1. If one side of tube is removed, what is the success rate% for getting normal pregnancy?
2. how long will it take for normal pregnancy, since only one tube is avail and is it like the chance is two month once?
3. What is IUI? If we go for IUI, then what is the sucess rate% for getting pregnancy?
4. What kind of procedure will be followed as part of IUI?
5. If one IUI fails, how many cycles we can try and what could be the success rate % on every cycle.
6. In IUI, different types like using gel/injection etc are available? which is the best way
to choose?
Thanks

                                    Brief Answer:
IVF
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I read your query and I understand your concerns.
Following is my reply.
1. The chances of success with only one tube are very low. Because it is possible that other tube is also unhealthy.
2. I dint see any success with only one tube in your case.
3. IUI ( Intrauterine Insemination) Procedure involves putting cleaned sperms of husband into wife during ovulation. I dint think this works for you with only one unhealthy tube.
4. You should go ahead with IVF without wasting anymore time on IUI. The only remaining tube is likely to be unhealthy and IUI will be unsuccessful no matter how many times you do.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
