Question : Hello, Just today my psychiatrist and I decided to up my Lamictal to 150 mg and just take one 500mg of depakote for two weeks then drop the depakote then just take 200mg of Lamictal. I'm all for this and was feeling really good about it then only within about 6hrs my sex drive increased. Is this from the Lamictal or is this just normal or is it a combination of taking both depakote and Lamictal together. Thank you!

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Lamictal (lamotrigine) is known to increase the libido or sex drive and so what you have experienced is normal when taking Lamictal. It is not due to the two medicines being taken together.
