Question: I have been on celexa for a week and xanax on occassion. I made a poor decision to drink last night. I had too much and now have the worst hangover ever. I am afraid I will die. can I?

Mixing Celexa and alcohol can result is a worse hangover, depressed mood, anxiety, and sedation, but will not kill you. Mixing alcohol and Xanax in high amounts can potentially be fatal. The fact that you are alive this morning means that you are safe for now. I would certainly not do this again.
