Brief Answer:
Lorazepam are addicting

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You are concerned about stopping lorazepam after taking it daily for the past year. There is a chance that you will have withdrawals from stopping. The most common withdrawal effects will be increased anxiety and difficulty sleeping. The best way to wean from Lorazepam is to gradually reduce your dose over 2-4 week period. If you stop the medication suddenly there is an increased risk for seizures.

I would strongly recommend discussing this with your medical provider and work out a weaning schedule.

Brief Answer:
Clonazepam adn lorazepam are the same class of drug

Detailed Answer:
Sorry I made a mistake. But the Lorazepam and clonazepam are the same class of medication and carry the same risk of withdrawal. These medications are called benzodiazepines and need to be weaned as i mentioned in my first narrative. Sorry about the mix up on names but the same warnings and directions are needed for both medications
