What Are The Symptoms Of Brain Tumor?

default
Posted on Fri, 11 Jul 2014
Question: Hi! I've already asked this but i'd like a second opinion from a different doctor..I'm 19 years old and I've probably only had two headaches in my entire life. This afternoon I worked out, and then sat down and all of a sudden i started getting excruciating cringe worthy stabbing pain in my left temple...I kept rubbing it and for a second it would go away and then come back immediately. Also, Ive recently been having pains above my left eyebrow like throbbing pains at least 5 days a week twice a day. Should I be worried ? Is it likely to be a brain tumor or brain aneurism ?

Brief Answer:
Not classical brain tumor or aneurysm pain..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Your description of symptoms are not classical of brain tumour or brain aneurysm. Generally brain tumour and aneurysm present with severe debilitation constant pain. Intermittent aches are not very typical.

It is most likely one among the common headaches or non specific ache which should settle down. Neurological investigations and brain scan is worthwhile options if the headaches continues to bother you.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
