Brief Answer:
could need probiotics

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question,
Fiber supplements like metamucil can cause gas in some patients. It can also occur if you have lost the normal bacteria in your gut. Changing your diet to avoid gas producing foods and adding a daily probiotic may help. IBS patients usually have a lot of abdominal cramping with either diarrhea, constipation or an alternating pattern of both constipation and diarrhea.
Gas-producing foods artichokes, asparagus, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumbers, green peppers, onions, peas, radishes, and raw potatoes. Beans and other legumes. Fruits such as apricots, bananas, melons, peaches, pears, prunes, and raw apples. In addition, some people get a lot of gas when consuming dairy products.
Let me know if you have further questions.
