Question : I am 80 years old and my midriff is expanding at a rapid rate while the rest of my body is in pretty good shape. Could this be a symptom of something serious? My health is good otherwise.

If there are no other symptoms then it won't be anything serious.Rarely hernias can present like this.

Getting an ultrasound done can help to know if at all there is any underlying cause.
