What Causes Batten Disease?

default
Posted on Thu, 12 Nov 2015
Question: On the Doctor's TV program the week of Oct 12 they mentioned a fatal brain disorder than appears around 2 1/2 to 3 years of age; the child usually dies around twelve years. The name given is hyphenated and starts with letter B. The symptoms and progress of the disease sounds much like the situation with my sister in the late 1920's. Of course there was no diagnosis or treatment back then; I've always wondered about her and became a medical technologist fifty years ago to start my search and I am still looking. I would like a name for the horrible trials my parent went through. Please and thank you.
