Question : Hi - On Dec 30, 2014, a stripper kissed me twice for less than 2 seconds each using her tongue. I do not know her health status and I do not re-collect any blood being involved. I was not involved in any other risky activity. Is there a chance I might be infected with HIV? I am really worried and anxious. Please help me come out of this. I did a testing after 3 months (13th week, 92 days after the incident) using the Ora quick Swab test and tested negative. Will I be infected? What is the probability I might be infected? Since the Swab test proved negative, can I move on without further worry? I am highly worried. Please advise...

Thanks for the query

There no proven case of HIV gotten after kissing an HIV infected individual. Please feel free and move on without any worry.

If you are still worried I recommend you to get HIV tested with western blot technique, it is the gold standard for diagnosing HIV

Thanks for the reply doctor. Since I did the Swab test (which is said to be 99% accurate), if you suggest me that I do not require any more testing and not to worry about my situation, I will stop worrying and move on. Although, I have read a lot of archives that says Kissing without involving blood is safe, I know this worry is fully anxiety caused. If you suggest that I do not require any more testing, I will move on in my life.

Kindly advice. I will rely on your suggestions.
