Question : Bad smell in nose and mouth, accompanied with a moderate headache. Have had both for 6 days now. Do you know what could cause this?

The common causes of bad smell in nose and mouth are-
1)Dental infections
2)Improper bowel movements-constipation
3)Gastric problem
4)Smoking
5)Alcohol
6)oral ulcers
7)Throat infections
Headache can be commonly associated.

My answer to all your questions is No. and the smell is in my nose, not mouth. First came the bad smell, then the headache 1 day after. Possible I should get a MRI?

This may be a case of sinusitis/rhinitis/DNS.All these nasal causes can result in bad smell from nose and headache.

I suggest that an ENT specialist's examination should precede before MRI.
