What Causes A Lump On The Left Side Of The Head?

default
Posted on Thu, 23 Mar 2017
Question: I discovered a lump on the left side of my head upon waking two days ago. It is tender to the touch, and feels like i hit it on something, the only thing I can think of is perhaps I did in the night, as I have an iron headboard with knobs on the iron? Could that even be possible?

Brief Answer:
Very unlikely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HealthcareMagic.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

I think if you hit the head, you should remember this even if you were sleeping.

Firstly, local conditions such hair root infection, atheroma of skin, etc. should be evaluated further.

An evaluation by your primary care Doctor should discover the true nature of the lump.

If these conditions are excluded, then only you can say it was due to a hit.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards.
