Question : My wife keeps having a bug bite like rash mostly on her arms at night, in the morning it is pretty much gone. Alcohol makes it stop itching, She had one near her eye about 3 am this morning and the eye was turning purple, at 5 am it was gone. What is happening to her?

I read your question carefully, and I hope I can help you.

Referred to what you have described, I can say that your wife's condition is uncontrolled. The cause might be an infection caused by the bug bite, and non effective medications.

In these cases I would suggest antihistamine medications such as Cetirizine 10 mg, and wide spectrum antibiotics such as Cefalexin 500 mg.

Your wife should also meet her allergist, to discuss about her health condition and the treatment.
