What Causes A Slight Curve In The Penis?

default
Posted on Fri, 24 Jul 2015
Question: Hi, I am 22 years old, and for the past three months my penis has had a 20 degree torsion to the left. I feel no pain when I masturbate or at any other moment, but it sure does bug me. I know my penis wasn't like that before : it was straight. The thing is, a rather clumsy girl "brutally" masturbated me around the same time it appeared. Is there a connection and should I get this fixed ?

Brief Answer:
more information needed

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM,

As I can understand here that,
1.your major concern is of curvature on penis of around 20 degrees that is bothering you.
2.Not experiencing any pain on masturbation

I can understand your concern.
However, many men have a slight curve in the penis. As long as there is no pain or problem with sexual performance, men with a slightly curved penis should not be concerned. They do not need to see a doctor.

May i know
1.Are you sexually active? If yes, do you experience pain while intercourse.
2.Do you feel that you are not able to have proper erection?
3.Is there an associated lump or discolouration on the shaft?

The answers to above question may help me to differentia a normal condition from a pathological one.
Kindly reply soon..

Regards

1. No I am not, so I can't answer that. But the possibility of having painful intercourse has been a source of anxiety ever since I noticed the torsion. 2. My erections do not appear to be hampered in any way. 3. There is no lump, but a small patch of skin right under the penis head has taken a pink flesh-like color, though I don't know if it qualifies as a discoloration.

Brief Answer:
Appears normal condition, surgeons opinion can help

Detailed Answer:
thank you for the reply.
Well, the abscence of discomfort or dysfunction suggest less need for any active intervention at this stage.

It most probably appears to be a normal condition. Slight curvature not amounting to dysfunction is normally found and is quite common. The prognosis is stable with no limitation in normal sexual activities. Besides, it tends to produce bit apprehension in the minds of individuals which is quite understandable.

I would suggest to show to a local surgeon, it can help to subside the apprehension related to it.

regards,
Dr Pankaj
