Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM !

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to esophageal spasms.

Musculoskeletal inflammation and anxiety can not be excluded as a possible cause of this clinical situation.

Are your symptoms exacerbated by respiration or body movements?

How long does this feeling last?

I would exclude any cardiac disorders, because this symptoms are not typical of heart disorders.

I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam and some tests:

- chest XRay study
- blood lab tests ( complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate, kidney and liver function tests)

A gastrointestinal endoscopy may be needed to exclude possible gastroesofageal reflux or esophageal spasms.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
