Brief Answer:
Not necessarily cancer

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
If one has attained menopause by this age, then post menopausal spotting can be due to atrophic vagina or uterine lining, local lesions in cervix or vagina, or due to cancer of cervix or uterus.
So, spotting at the age of 57 does not necessarily mean cancer.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
