Question : Meds I am currently on is neurton, celexa, Elavil, wellbutrin, imovane, T3, pantaloc and celebrex. I have been on all of these medications for an extended period of time. This seems to be getting worse over the last month. Could it be treated with hormone therapy?

I believe that I am peri-menopausal as it has been approximately 4 months since my last period. I am really struggling with the smell of meat, fish or eggs been cooked. I feel sick to the stomach all day if I am around any cooking. I am wondering if I was to have some form of hormone therapy would it help me to get through this?

                                    Brief Answer:
Please rule out pregnancy if you have a partner
Detailed Answer:
Your symptoms are unusual of a post menopausal syndrome.
The usual symptoms are
Hot flashes
Breast tenderness
Worse premenstrual syndrome
Lower sex drive
Fatigue
Irregular periods
Vaginal dryness; discomfort during sex
Urine leakage when coughing or sneezing
Urinary urgency (an urgent need to urinate more frequently)
Mood swings

If you have a sexual partner, you should check for pregnancy as your present symptoms are usual in pregnancy.
If pregnancy is excluded, you can take a short course of a birth control pill to get over your symptoms.
