Question: doctor sir my cousin aged 35 with no prior history of BP r DIABETES has been suffering from bloody discharge from her genital parts n also from anal track for the past 20 days. ..since there has been no pain from the beginning she did not take it seriously n she thought it was due to excessive heat in her body. .right now also there is not a considerable pain while bleeding. the intensity of bleeding is high in the mornings n evenings..her menstrual cycle has been normal except for this month. . (I.e earlier)..she is a house-wife n having 2 kids. . of late she has been through lot of tensions regarding her family. .is that a factor in this? ??kindly suggest some medication n proper guidance regarding this problem plz. .

Brief Answer:
Possible Hemorrhoids? Need per rectal examination.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

I understand your concern.

Your cousin's symptoms are suggestive of underlying hemorrhoids or any bleeding disorder.

So I advise her to get baseline investigations like bleeding time, clotting time and a per digital rectal examination at the earliest

Once diagnosis is confirmed stool softeners and analgesics can be given.

Meanwhile I advise her to take 3-4 liters of water per day and take fiber rich diet.

Also avoid straining of stools and physical exertion.

Post your further queries if any,

Thank you.

dear XXXXXXX madam as per us suggestion..my cousin consulted a gynecologist n she suggested that it's because of lack of stool softening that her skin was cut at the anal track n subsequent bleeding..medication is BETADINE drops to put in water n apply SHIELD ointment..for now nothing to worry r u suggest anything else??

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry,Avoid constipation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

Welcome again.

Avoid straining of stools and constipation(hard stools) as it will lead to bleeding again

I advise her to take 3-4 liters of water.

If she still has constipation take Syrup Smuth 10 ml at bed time to prevent such episodes in future.

Continue with the local treatment as suggested by the gynecologist.

Brief Answer:
Relevant cough formulation is suggested.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

Sorry for the late reply.

A dry cough should always be suppressed.

I generally recommend my patients oral formulation of syrup TusQ D. This offers an excellent relief. Please check with your physician if he can prescribe the same.
